The former administration of President Farmajo had been able to end the Counter Piracy Resolution and EUNAVOR because it enabled all navies (including the hostile nations) unfettered access to our sea waters and victimized the Somalis as pirates. Many fishermen were overrun, killed or arrested in the high seas, causing the fishing communities to be fearful of fishing in their own coastline.
