Clashes of cultural habits: Smartphone browsing vs Recreative reading

In my past years I could say that I was relatively a good reader, not voracious or bookish. But that habit has dramatically changed lately since the appearance and commercialization of smartphones. Recently, a dear friend of mine brought me “HBR’s 10 MUST READS: On Negotiation”.From the start, as I turn over the cover pages, I felt I was missing something: The thrill of animated entries in smartphone browsing. To resist the urge of this tempetation, I had to irritably try to ignore my feeling like someone suppressing nicotine craving. I am sure it will take me time and efforts to break from the negative habit and impact smartphone had on my cultural life. I can also imagine that many readers will find themselves in similar situation. Let us do something about it.
