Could you tell which of the above statements by Mahdi and Deni respectively reflect on reality in today’s New World Order, and why?

Hint: Mahdi’s statement is defensive reaction to international partners’ criticism regarding the dismissal of Prime Minister Khayre, while Deni’s acknowledge the inter-dependence of the world community and role of IC in continuing to help Somalia recover after most recent political shake-up in Mogadishu.

  1. Mahdi’s statement reflect not only the full rights enjoyed by sovereign state as long as international relations are concerned but also reflect the true nature of today’s New World Order. The hype of “International community” exists only in the minds of yesteryear political class in Africa which doesn’t hold water in today’s new world order. The best example is Libya where international community are clueless themselves and divided over political crisis in Libya. This happening at the backdrop of recent new American policy in the world “America First” led by Trump administration, coupled with COVID-19 pandemic in which the world has entered instantly into politics of isolationism that each country is relentless and nakedly pursuing its own interests, While USA is aligning its politics of “share the burden” with countries in Europe, “Zero fundig in sustainable world projects” with international community and “zero military interventions”, with countries in middle east. Consequently, paving the way for other world powers like Russia, Israel, Turkey and Iran to fill the vacuum with arab puppets more willing to take the burden and undertake political interventions in Africa on its behalf away from the influence of Europe
